Day 3, wish I had more time to work on this.

This is day 3 working on this acrylic painting. I didn't have a lot of time this weekend to work on this painting. It's a barn along Newcomen Road in Chester Springs.
Size is 20 x 16
As of right now It's untitled.
Like I said I didn't have a lot of time this weekend to paint. I was busy with a Juried Art Show at the Meadowood Senior Living Center in Worcester, PA. I didn't sell my painting but felt great being accepted into the show. There were over 300 pieces dropped off & they had to narrow the selection down to 200 pieces, so I feel really good about getting included in the show. I was among many, many great artists and it was such a great exhilarating feeling having my art among theirs.

Expression of one's inner self

Art is an expression of one’s inner self. To me, painting is my medium to share my artistic thoughts to the world, a way to express my feelings.

Creating art is very, very important to me. It gives me the opportunity to explore my creativity.  I feel that creativity keeps my life from being boring and it gives meaning to everything around me.

Painting is also a stress reliever. As I shift into non-verbal thoughts, I lose track of time. I focus on creating and at times that’s all that seems to matter. If I don’t paint for a while, I feel that something is missing. It’s almost like an addiction and I need to paint to survive.

Delivered my painting of Hannah

I delivered the painting of Hannah on Saturday.

She said she just loved it and can’t stop admiring it.

Below is her comment:

"Totally in love with this picture of Hannah, CH Foxtale's Under the Boardwalk. It was a retirement gift from a colleague. Hannah introduced me to the wonderful, and wacky, world of dog showing as well as giving me the opportunity to make many new corgi friends. Hannah will celebrate her 14th birthday this April. Bill definitely captured the essence of Hannah and I will cherish the painting always."

It makes me feel really good when someone really appreciates my work. She sent me this picture of it hanging on her wall. She didn't waste any time putting it up.
